The Wallace Foundation is in the process of obtaining official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the IRS. As of our filing date on May 10, 2023, the average wait time for receiving a response from the IRS regarding tax-exempt status can vary. While we cannot provide an exact date, it typically takes several months to receive a determination.
We understand the importance of gaining this status, as it will not only solidify our commitment to transparency and compliance but also enable donors to benefit from tax deductions for their contributions. We have engaged experienced professionals and diligently prepared our application to expedite the process and ensure its accuracy.
During this waiting period, we continue to operate as a non-profit organization with a pending status, conducting our activities in alignment with the requirements and guidelines set forth by the IRS for organizations in a similar situation. We maintain transparency and accountability in all our operations and finances, ensuring that every donation is utilized effectively and in furtherance of our mission.
We are committed to keeping our supporters and stakeholders informed about the progress of our 501(c)(3) application. We will provide updates as soon as we receive a response from the IRS, and we anticipate that we will receive a determination on or before [expected date based on average wait times].
Your support and patience during this process are greatly appreciated. We remain dedicated to our mission of providing compassionate end-of-life support to families in need, and we look forward to the official recognition of our tax-exempt status to further enhance our ability to serve those who rely on our assistance.
Your generous donations to The Wallace Foundation play a vital role in supporting our mission to provide financial assistance for end-of-life hospice care to families in need. With your support, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals facing this challenging and sensitive time.
The funds we receive are allocated with careful consideration to ensure maximum impact and effectiveness. The primary focus is to provide direct financial assistance to families who lack the means to afford quality end-of-life hospice care for their loved ones. This assistance covers a wide range of essential services, including but not limited to pain management, comfort measures, emotional support, spiritual guidance, and skilled nursing care.
In addition to supporting families directly, your donations enable us to collaborate with reputable hospice care centers and organizations, providing them with financial resources to enhance the quality of care they offer. By strengthening these partnerships, we can ensure that families receive compassionate and dignified support throughout their end-of-life journey.
Transparency and accountability are of utmost importance to us. We diligently monitor and evaluate the allocation of funds to ensure they are utilized effectively and in alignment with our mission. Our financial records are meticulously maintained and subject to regular audits to guarantee responsible stewardship of the resources entrusted to us.
Rest assured that every contribution you make to The Wallace Foundation is valued and utilized to make a profound difference in the lives of those facing end-of-life challenges. We are deeply grateful for your support and partnership as we work together to provide compassionate care and support to families in need during this vulnerable time.
